eCloud talks to each OLT over SNMP and over its own CLI (SSH or Telnet). Today the only one validated in production is the ZTE C320; the other profiles are written from each vendor’s documentation and tuned with your team on onboarding day. That’s how we publish it, capability by capability.

The C320 on firmware V2.1.0 runs in production with over 100 ONUs. The C300 and C6xx have a profile but weren’t tested; the C6xx “TITAN” uses a different syntax.

OLT onboarding

How your OLT gets connected.

Onboarding tests every layer before saving, and never touches the configuration of an OLT that’s already in service.

  1. New or in service?

    First you say whether the OLT is fresh from the factory or already has subscribers. The path depends on it.

  2. Access details

    Vendor, model, version, PON type, SSH or Telnet with its port, credentials and SNMP community. Credentials are stored encrypted.

  3. Check and save

    The port, SNMP and CLI are tested. If anything fails, nothing is saved, and it tells you which layer failed.

  4. Read-only first look

    On an OLT in service it reads the connection and unauthorized ONUs and, if the profile allows it, takes the first backup. On a new one, a 7-stage wizard builds the commands with your data; it runs nothing.

  5. Import the ONUs

    Reconciliation compares the OLT with the inventory and brings in the existing ONUs. On the production C320, 109 were imported at once.
